Yeah I don't worry about this because I'm not a brokie. $80 is less than a day's wages to most people living in the first world.

45 hours of walking and having to read tedious dialog is not the same as 45 hours of high quality gameplay, so it depends on the game.
JRPGs are obviously the former

Knowingly spending more money than you ever should for a product or service doesn't make you cool, it makes you a fucking idiot. You sound like those gacha losers who love throwing hundreds at billion dollar companies for overpriced jpegs because they "can afford it".

You shouldn't look at game length as a metric. That's how we landed ourselves into Ubisoft open world situation. They're realistically 20-25 hour games stretched over 80+ hours.

it's a product that can be objectively judged on how well put together it is from programming, artistic, etc. perspectives. enjoyment of the game itself is after all entirely subjective.

Depends how replayable it is. I'd say about 15-20 USD is okay. If it's very replayable and high quality $30-39 is acceptable.

I only buy at -85% off or i "borrow" it to check if its worth the price. Very high price mind you, so it better be worth my time and effort to try it out or they wont get a penny. Keep trying DEI devs, maybe one day you gonna make it

Market sets the price poorfags, whining and crying about what the price "should" be is for faggot commies
>y-you probably spend thousands of dollars every month on games!
Brokie projection, I have never felt the need to buy more than 3-4 games per year at the very most. Why even buy more? That's months worth of entertainment if you select for games with depth and replay value. If you can't control your compulsion to play every single FOTM slop just buy a Gamepass subscription or something.

Depends on a bunch of thing. Basically, it's "quality". Runtime is just one vector of evaluation.
I'd play full price if everything about the game is stellar.

Imagine if those games you bought were even cheaper. Then you would be saving more money, and those "poorfags" you disdain could afford it. More players win.

It's not about quantity, but quality.

Would you rather pay 60 bucks for a 20h extremely good game, or a 45h slog.
