I see this game on GOG all the time but it's actually good? Was it an xbox 360 exclusive back in the day?

It's like Mass Effect but much funnier and with far superior choice reactivity

it's janky in classic Obsidian fashion but a very fun game, I've replayed it five times

Damn, sounds like it's good then. I'll try to get it on GOG when I can. Has it aged well? I won't get filtered by some weird control scheme?

So close, really., You even get Sis to free you

Just pick pistols+stealth, be patient with minigames and enjoy the ride

The combat is nothing special. What makes Alpha Protocol stand out is the social manipulation aspect. The MC has a personal relationship with every named character and you can make them love or hate you depending on your actions, with both having benefits.

It uses the conversation pie thing that Mass Effect does but to better effect. In Mass Effect you're just making boring "paragon" or "renegade" choices but in Alpha Protocol it's not a moral choice, you adjust your personality to be professional, suave or aggressive depending on how you're trying to manipulate the character you're speaking with.

yeah, ok Ill remove it from hidden. Ill probably never get around to it, as before.

It's such a shame it sucks to play. For all the remakes we're getting now, no game deserves it more than Alpha Protocol.

Its shit, borderline unplayable mess.

You are getting baited, the game sucks, it barely functions, all its systems are awfully designed, its a game with some neat ideas but the execution is terrible.

Filtered so many who couldn't comprehend that all abilities are influenced by your character sheet and your input as a player begins and ends with an input command.

great game. the action gets shit on but i liked all of the different armor, weapons, and options you had for completing missions. its way too based to get a sequel.

It's very frustrating. I came back to it this year and as a test did a melee only, hard mode run. It was surprisingly possible until the last level when your bitch rival camps a sniper tower and the last boss is in a room you can't reach. Thankfully though by that point I had plenty of spare points just for that OP pistol mark-and-execute technique. First time I played I did stealth and pistol and the bosses all gave me trouble, but with melee I just spammed healing and the adrenaline to brute force them lol.
I wish it ran better. I wish the story made more sense and was finished. For all that cool mystery throughout and choices, it just ends with me shooting some dude with a rocket and the game ending.
It's almost really cool and I'll probably play it again. I'm super curious how those shitty smgs work and what a smg run would play like.

I really wish every sequence had something like the post russia misson where you can catch the conspiracy you're a part of, it'd be nice if every other big section had this "secret" mission that lets you unravel the actual secret, Also seeing Leland freak out that you actually outplayed him afterwards was so satisfying.
