Many CYOA games fall for the same trap and force you to keep raising one, maybe two attributes. When playing them, if you go wide, you suddenly start losing every check. Some authors are more aware of that and find a way to circumvent it, like Infinity introducing partial successes and combined checks, for example.
Nikky fails at it and fails spectacularly because many of the stats are trap options that work a handful of times at very specific instances, even prior to the escursion. After the excursion, it is even worse because you can't tell what the supposed threshold of the next check is going to be, and there is no difference between 5000 strength or 1 strength; as long as you lose, you lose.
Don't bother playing this game as an rpg or a strategy; it's meant to be played as a kinetic novel after you turn on the cheat mode. I played it on normal and it was a thoroughly miserable experience.

The economy is going quite bonkers if you know what you are doing, so I would suggest ways to burn through cash other than cycling everything. Hopefully, the auction will fill that role but add a flag that notes if you spent a lot and gives you prestige or something.
