Has there been any JRPG that feels like FFIV-V-VI which is just the town section and talking to npcs and seeing how they are real characters with a real personality and seeing how they become old and get kids and those also get old and have kids?

Shill me on this idea.
Like, what does gameplay look like? How is this not just a worse version of The Sims, with less emergent narrative and more WordsWordsWords gameplay.

There's a calendar system, so time pases based on player actions.

There would be eventually a daily and weekly routine, like dating simulators.
You could talk to npcs.

But your actions over time makes time pass, so you see their stories, similar to a VN.
Eventually weeks pass to form months, and then a year pass, and then 20 years later pass.

Eventually a century is gone, and then the npcs would be reborn as kids instead of being dead by age.

Similar to a magical version of that movie where a guy day resets every time, but they're simply turned into little kids after getting old.

Eventually their stories and reactions changes based on the current time period, like Age of Empires mechanic to upgrade the time period.

Harvest Moon type games are probably closest you're going to get. Not an RPG but Majora's Mask too was good for NPCs feeling real.

All happens in Harvest Moon, though the games mostly either end or go through everything meaningful after a couple years or so. Expanding this to a longer time period and showing reincarnations and the town changing over different time periods would be cool. Good idea, OP.

Is there even a RPG that do such thing?
Don't tell me it's those text-based games again
