What are some short and sweet RPGs that you can finish in a weekend?

A weekend is 48hrs. And most RPGs are 40hrs or less. So you should be able to finish most of them without sacrificing sleep.

Pick something weird enough or bad enough that you wouldnt want to come back to it after a day or two anyway: threads of fate, legend of mana, moon, baroque, jade cocoon, rhapsody, dragon valor, torneko etc. All of these I liked and played decades ago, but wouldnt ever come back to now much less after a week.

Also assuming youre not a summerkid and actually have a life and wont spend every moment on them either

>>3826213
If you rush the experience into 2 days you're doing a real disservice to the game and ironically kind of feed right into the themes of what the game is explicitly critical of

Evolution1 and 2 on the Dreamcast are pretty short, with only 5-6 dungeons. Evolution 2 in particular ranks you at the end of the game and one of the ranks is how fast you cleared it.

Any RPG if you skip cinematics, skip dialogue, pick random reply option. All those dense RPGs are often just bloated with that retarded shit

Not true, JRPGs are usually more bloated with tedious, grindy combat with slow-as-molasses combat animations you are forced to see thousands and thousands of times.

Dex is a really cool cyberpunk ARPG/platformer. Think Deus Ex turned sidescroller. It released on everything and often goes on sale for steep discounts. A short little romp, does not overstay its welcome at all.

And there's even the Gamecube port that combines the two, although that strips some of the content out further.
Anonymous No.3829854
I would really only recommend them to people who were fans of Penny Arcade, which I recognize is a small and despicable niche, but the Rain Slick games are actually really competently made and enjoyable. The first 2 are completely different from the last 2, and they're all pretty short and condensed.

shadowrun retruns.
People tend to like the other games more but I enjoyed returns as a short and simple intro to the setting. It gets straight to the point, no filler.

Fate gates of dawn in an underlooked short amiga dungeon crawler.
There is also dragon quest 7, don't listen to people calling it long, those fools just got filtered by the first boss for 50+hours.
Persona 4 has extremely quick pacing and can be finished in a single day since you are just playing the new guy first week at school.
