>Agility/Speed boosts your chance to escape fights
>there are regular looking fights that will cock block you even if you've maxed it out.
Why do I fall for it every time.
Agility is not a good stat in games. I don't care if it 'influences accuracy'. It seems to, at best, put me on par with even hits with dodgy enemies and at worst just makes me wonder why I didn't max Strength or Magic/Intelligence instead.
ITT: Retard traps you fall for every time.

Your bravery is admirable.
May your grave be grand!

If I battle every enemy I come across in many games I end up over-leveled and boss battles aren't fun b/c too easy. Player level is the difficulty setting in most RPGs, run from plenty of battles if you want to make it harder.

There are games where it's exceptionally powerful, like Fallout.

In games that actually have a functional resource management aspect, running can actually be pretty important. If you want to get through, say, the original Final Fantasy without grinding, you need to learn that some encounters really aren't worth fighting.

Even games without functional resource management will probably have a random encounter enemy that is annoying to fight.

If it influences movement in a map or action economy, it's usually one of the most important stats. When it's just accuracy/run away chance it's usually just irrelevant.
Running away is only a good choice in games where you don't get exp for fights anyway.

If it influences movement or action economy it becomes a God stat by default.
Who cares if your MC is a poindexter who can't win a fair fight if he can just set off ten auto hits in one turn?

In tactics ogre snes agi was a godstat. It's either dump or god stat.
