Likely never. You can still play the forever unfinished Warpforce and the technically done Mechquest because they are tied to other games and popular enough, but their other titles like Herosmash cannot be played at all anymore. Not even sure you can log in to Oversoul anymore either (or at least nothing I do works) and that's on their actual Artix Games Launcher too.

They have already clearly stated that there's zero intentions to release the Herosmash source code or to reinstate the game in any capacity, so once they die they will be dead forever.
Unless Stop Killing Games actually picks up steam in America too or whatever and it becomes necessary.

This should have been the plot to the new AQW arc honestly, have Robina go down a similar route to Jaania and take on an anti-magic stance. It's literally the perfect set up with all of her allies and friends being the cause of so many horrific events that took everything from her (even Tara despite her magically coming back). Even though she loves them, she'd still likely hold a little resentment in her heart about Gravelyn and the Hero wielding their power irresponsibly and causing so much pain too. She even actively opposes Necromancy as a concept already. Then have her reach the breaking point when the mana of the world itself going haywire nearly destroyed everything in the Malgor arc.

Gravelyn would actually need to deal with something outside of her angst and we'd get to see more of her human side interacting with people other than the hero. Drakath could be redeemed and forgiven by fighting to save both Robina and Lore as punishment for the people he killed, becoming the true chaos that he actually wanted. Good and evil characters would need to come together as an alliance again thus address the power gap between the factions. And all of the current and new main cast could relate to Robina's decision, but would either disagree and/or went down a similar route like the Darkon girls. It would have been perfect. You can still have the Jus Divinum being all evil and stuff in the background and manipulating her if you don't want to make her commit the most heinous stuff.
Instead the villain is probably just the green mask and Drakath will only interact with Gravelyn who he doesn't really have any relationship with aside from killing Sepulchre offhandedly.

Instead we get multiverse masks telling us what to do and everyone coming together after defeat the brand new super duper bad guy in Rumbling in the Cold Thunder.

They could still make a great story with what they've got so far to be fair, the Hero basically creating a new more neutral pantheon that also keeps each other in check is a genuinely interesting direction to take it. It fits in with the Good, Evil, Chaos needing a balance theme of the game. Relates directly to every major conflict, grapples with the influence the EDoT has over everything innately by counterbalancing themselves, deals with the false god avatars and the new ones behind the scenes, etc. Dealing with the Hero's place in the world and their outlook is why I liked the Malgor arc so much, so I'm optimistic.

It is just disappointing that the new(?) writer started down the Punished Robina saga and then immediately reset the status quo in the very next arc by contrasting her to a completely evil lady that wasn't actually like Robina at all.

Any remotely fun characters, even one note villains like Iona, are gonna outshine Robina because none of the writers ever write stories about the Good faction unless it's their OC Donut Steel like Aranx (if he even counts) or they need a punching bag for the Hero to save. They kind of messed it up honestly, "Good" should have been the Good characters we have now AND the neutral parties that make up the average population of Lore like the Yokai, Sandsea, Trolls, etc. Evil should have been the Shadowscythe primarily, but also various "Evil" or monster groups that joined under her banner to survive Drakath like the Vampires, Lycans, etc. Basically an empire for both Gravelyn and Robina, that way they're forced to build up both girls as the mascots of each alignment and include them in more stories. Right now it's so weird because even the fan favourite Gravelyn only really pops up to be cute randomly, she doesn't seem to get that much main story spotlight outside of the hype moments and her Gravelyn specific stories are more like sectioned off parts from everything else.
Hopefully this is what they're building to with the cutscenes in the Cold Thunder arc.

Mostly just an allied faction rather than a part of the whole, but I guess you could say they are now. They never really built up the connection much until recent stories, everyone was just mashed together as Anti-Chaos.

Light basically only has Swordhaven and their members, then also Termina Temple + Lady Celestia's whole thing (but not her dragons technically since they're assholes mostly). The paladins act more like SES squads that gets called in during every war, but otherwise just fight zombies and ghosts everywhere in doomwood.

This is the boss of a random sidequest I found on a highway in Book 3 where they each have 2000ish HP with moves that heal 990 HP and dodge buffs pretty frequently, I keep running out of resources by the last guy alive. Seems like level 40ish + book 3 is where the stats and strategy start becoming mandatory, can't even imagine beating it with that Doomed mode difficulty turned on.

Book 3 itself is kino aside from a bunch of the characters becoming weird looking middle aged men, poor Tomix and Ash did not age like a fine wine.

He hasn't come back as just Sepulchre or Valen iirc. He has sort of popped back in a few times like when he possessed Akriloth, but it is hard to know what's even canon and what plots have simply been dropped or forgotten about. I'm not even sure Throne of Darkness is canon, unless it's been mentioned specifically or used in the main storyline I'd just err on the side of caution about side stories honestly. For example they dropped the Titans of Battleon plotline in DF when they reached Book3 because they couldn't figure out how to integrate it (a cop-out answer if you ask me), and there's what they did to QoM with rewrites both during the Malgor Arc and recently too. I love these games, but they're so painful. I'll never get to know where they were going with Warpforce or Herosmash, man.

Sidenote; in searching for confirmation of whether it has been confirmed canon or not since last I checked I found people discussing whether Vegeta + Goku could beat the lore accurate 13th Lords of Chaos + Drakath (I don't really see how they could unless we put restrictions on AQW like only using Chaos Saga for the 13th Lord and Drakath) and an in-depth discussion of whether Safiria can get pregnant with a natural born Werepyre.

Everyone's expecting the Infamy mask to be Valoth and they keep hinting at the things behind all the Doom/Shadowscythe stuff, but nothing is ever addressed. They don't even let Gravelyn grow up or make changes to her faction at all either, she's still just a tsun who hasn't been accepted as the proper leader yet. Grim times.

Well the hero was frozen for years between book 2 and 3, so stuff had to happen. Envy case is a bit shit, especially since we get to see her at end of first Ravenloss saga. Not much you can insert between saga quests, unless you want to dedicate it fully towards flashbacks.

It's not so much that stuff happens offscreen, but the specific things they fast forwarded. Like instead of the Envy quests that genuinely don't have a point, you could have had one where you play as Tomix meeting Pandora and Envy's past/viewpoint to establish them better in the arc. I didn't really think about it from that angle, but that's a fair interpretation of the game's story too. From the Hero's perspective their hometown basically changed irrevocably and moved on without them, then when they finally do get back everything is on the brink of collapse with new enemies everywhere that the hero can't deal with very well. We might not have many scenes with her in reality, but I suppose she would have been one of the few familiar things in Falconreach for them.

They're kind of leaning into that sort of framing ever since the QoM and Malgor arcs, all the stories are about what could have been had these characters encountered someone to guide them earlier and what the good (the morality, not the faction) characters could have become if they didn't. Whether it's Neso fearing that she was going to be usurped because she couldn't trust anyone else, Queen Iona changing into the monster she became due to her upbringing isolating her, Robina twisting her values to fix Good's (the faction not the morality) losing position in the world, all of Darkon's family characters coming to terms with their loss or the humanizing of Drakath that's been going on in the background lore.
I could totally see another mirror realm/alternate timeline/the span teaching moment that happens after the fire saga to lead into the finale. Even if it's just a Serenity Mirage type situation that isn't real where we meet our views of Iona, Malgor, Queen of Monsters, etc again to cement our resolve before the final decision about what to do with the god stuff.

Sorry, my knowledge of them is outdated by like 4-5 years, but I have read that Chrono Shadow Slayer is the current king. Personally I don't think any of them are worth it for the price, that's like 20 burger dollars just for a class + cosmetics you'll never use.

That being said if you're a whale or you got the acs from frostval gifting it doesn't matter I guess, and the classes themselves can be fun since they're often unique in terms of gameplay. I used to love Nechronomancer to keep farming and going through the storylines fresh, but they nerfed and changed various aspects of Nechrono on me (even though technically it's still a really good farming class with some other niche uses). I haven't really tried it out in a long while, but I can't imagine it being anything more than a sidegrade.

Shadowstalker/Shadowwalker of Time, BUT, it will take ages to stack and you will probably die a lot, also not all ultras. Just stick to normal ultra runs imo (we run them every Friday/Saturday with varying degrees of success)

I'm not sure about soloing Ultras and I haven't tried messing with enchantments for the bosses that deal like 20-30k per second like Icewing, but it is very strong everywhere else.

>has a built in 4 second taunt that also negates most damage for 2 seconds
>50% damage reduction buff with a small HoT on top
>debuffs Damage Resistance, Crit Chance, and Dodge by 20% + 8-32% outgoing damage reduction

>slightly less braindead rotation than LR so you don't fall asleep while fighting or forget what's happening
As someone who only recently hit level 100 + doesn't have all the Forge stuff yet I'd say King's Echo is better for solo than the typical recommendations like LR, VHL, etc. It's both way faster and more reliable, plus arguably easier to obtain since you can always leech for Ultra Drakath and the rest is just grindan + a few story chapters.
