on the topic of RT I liked that you could get argenta and idira to reconcile if you brought them on each others act 2 quests and then brought them into act 3 together. I stumbled onto it when I first played because my party was pretty static with my character, abelard, idira, argenta cassia and whoever's companion quest we where doing at that time, and I liked to play as the good guy so I went iconoclast and promised to help idira to find some way other than drugs and alcohol to deal with her shitty schizo void voices also theodora was totally planning to turn her into a daemonhost I think its neat that the party dynamics are able to shift and that two characters that where constantly bickering in the beginning can find some common ground and eventually be on better terms once they understand each other better and time has passed, and honestly I'd be fine if the opposite where to happen in a game where two characters with a history or initially get along start to sour on eachother throughout a game, I think party dynamics can be really interesting and I'd like to see it explored more in rpgs in general, cyoa crpg whatever.

Hollywood one looks interesting, but it's so 2000s from the premise. No reason to set it in V5 and its mass surveillance and SI state if your plot point is about ancient vamps who don't change appearances and identities. Mass surveillance and mass upheaval from old to young is one of the few interesting things in V5, and most barely do anything with it.

It could have been good if they took a different angle. Corebook hands out mass surveillance outside of third world countries, different hunter cells, some with vamps hunting their own kind, elders wanting to kill themselves and doing so, burned down Chantry and absolute free for all. Next books do nothing with it and try to repeat V20 without any care outside of, maybe, Sabbat, but it gets an incredibly biased perspective and mediocre book. And writers for V5 outside of corebooks, the ones who get all these opportunities, do nothing with them. At this point I'm happy the first Hunter game remembered that you can doxx a vamp.

And Hollywood hunter at least looks interesting because it explicitly states that you can both ignore the Hunter career in favour of Hollywood and suck up to vampires for mortal and immortal glory. Wang's game just says you may end up betraying the community for vampirism. Temptation doesn't work unless you're given choices - otherwise it's the classic 2006 shooter situation where characters praise nonexistant morals of a guy who never had a choice to abandon them.

It will be a power fantasy unless there is an edgelord hobo who always upstages you and always begs a little bit better no matter what you do and every other page there is a scene where the other bums and even the vampires are in awe of his dumpster diving prowess.
