why do reviewers keep giving obsidian's recent action rpgs good scores? outer worlds 2 is a mess on so many levels, im baffled it ever left prototype stage. and yet it has an 83 on opencritic, with pcgamer giving it an 83 and eurogamer giving it the same score as baldurs gate 3 (4/5). they have tricked me into paying 26€ for a month of game pass ultimate. i can't refund a month of game pass ffs. i feel 100% gaslit

i just don’t understand. i often disagree with mainstream reviewers but there’s usually a level of professionalism and thoughtfulness in what they write. pcgamer gave Cp2077 a 78 despite being an immensely better game, which, fair. its a flawed gem that came out in a piss poor technical state. but OW2? it fails in game design, level design, animation, writing, voice acting, combat… its just an unarguably bad game. wtf
