I rlly like Chinese culture and aesthetics to the point I constantly listen to guqin and daydream about being Chinese in various eras, but I fucking hate total war's turn based strategy map shit, so im wondering whats the most spectacular real time strategy games for me where theres a lot of different things to witness not just gameplaywise but also audiovisually. Anyone know?

Oriental Empires isn't the most visually impressive game but it's pretty neat

Agree, though sounds like OP wants a game with less strategy not more, and non-turn based. I still think Oriental Empires' simultaneous turn resolution coupled with the jank autocombat is really interesting despite its jankiness

I'am currently playing Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence - Ascention and having a BLAST. Its essentialy a paradox game but cutting a bit on autismo spreadsheets and trading it with amazing voiceovers and art..

Age of Mythology Retold has a Chinese campaign. And before someone thinks they're smart: It's not THAT one, it's a brand new one, made competently.
