In the round of 16 selection ceremony Soulkey was at first torn between choosing Sharp or Barracks as his opponent but went with Barracks because he felt bad for Sharp because he had already been curbstomped by him enough times.
Bet he is seriously regretting that decision because there's zero chance Sharp would have been able to pull the shit Barracks did. It's extra funny that it was Barracks that then went on to choose Effort to be in their group.

People act like him not seeing the creep was the death blow that did it but it's not like Soulkey tilts and he still lost the second game simply by being outpeformed. Problem with /vst/ now is that too many topics get hijacked by near-dead generals, like the threads on bump support on /vg/ only kept alive by obsessive autists, if it was an active board we could get a shorter lived, but active thread for each series instead.

Mini is too volatile so if Barracks has a chance it is against him. Even so, just because it's PvT Mini is still more likely to take this.

Snow is arguably the best player in the round of 8 but because of his PvZ being nowhere as good as his other matchups and his tendency to choke I'm willing to bet Effort will eliminate him.

Soma is in great shape but then again so is Best, this is the hardest one to call. I'll give it to Soma but could easily go the other way.

If Larva was up against anyone else I'd put my money on him but because Bisu is the best PvZer in the round of 8 and he's been on fire lately it's hard to believe even Larva can get through him.

So from there I expect Effort to beat Mini, Bisu to win against Soma and we would have an Effort vs Bisu finals.

Zerg is strong because their 3 base units, ling/hydra/mutalisk, are just all around strong units with little micro, and mutalisk becomes exponentially stronger with good micro.

Terrans and Protoss need to rely on spell casters to win the game, specifically versus Zerg. It's game over if protoss loses their templars with energy or if a vessel dies early (you want to save your vessels and irradiate spam) Zerg is so strong because their basic units that they make every game are just much better than the other races.

Hydralisks have the best unit control / pathfinding AI in the game, it's a pleasure to control them. They have double the health of a marine, you don't need to split them like terrans do.

The Zergling is one of the very few units that has a DPS upgrade without a drawback, AND it's a passive ability that you upgrade once and forget about it. Yeah, stimpack is nice but it costs Health and APM (time management). Zealots do the same DPS at minute 1 and minute 30.
