why would CA do that? look the RR gets 1k CCU a day, which isnt a lot but rome 2, the most popular historical total war is around 6k CCU a day. so as bad as the RR was, thats still 1/6th of lost sales for any new TW that comes out. now imagine if Feral did M2TW remaster, dont change the UI, thatd be like 4k CCU a day gone. wont be playing the new slop CA releases ever again because they already got M2TW remastered. it hurts them in the long run.

Is Feral, a fucking mobile company, actually better and more competent than CA at this point? They fixed Medieval II and now Empire on mobile, meanwhile CA only returns to their old games to add more bugs or remove "problematic" features like chat rooms.

You can make those nations playable on PC with a simple edit to a file in notepad. There have been "unlock all faction mods" in Empire for ages. There's just really no reason to play most of those irrelevant minor factions.

This, if you've ever have unlocked them and played as them, their territory and unit rosters are hilariously underdeveloped and it becomes evident they were designed purely as roadblocks for the great powers.
The things that kill me about Empire aren't anything to do with a small number of playable factions, but rather the completely broken diplomacy, the pathetic number of cities for great powers in western Europe, the terrible AI and representation of warfare in the period. None of these things will be fixed by any patches or remasters.

Fuck yes, it really needs it. It should have been remastered instead of Rome 1 to begin with. Rome 1 modding community pretty much moved onto it, since it's Rome 1.5. It was a waste of time to remaster Rome 1.

Med2 remaster most importantly should fix all those famous bugs like units dropping pikes or gunpowder units endlessly reshuffling. And lift/increase those region/unit/faction limits which are cucking modders since release. Superior, modern group system and unit card management should be imported too. Rome 1 Remastered got features imported from Med2, so Med2 should get stuff like horde playstyle ported from Barbarian Invasion too.
