artisan pops, meanwhile, produce goods based on past profitability. given enough time, every artisan on the planet ends up jumping to produce the same "most profitable" good, flooding the market in the process. but here’s the real kicker, if no one buys those artisanal goods the same day they’re produced, they simply vanish, *poof* deleted from existence. yielding zero profit for the artisan and since artisans don’t have a steady income stream like farmers or laborers (who earn daily wages), they can’t afford to restock inputs or sustain themselves. once their cash runs out, they stop producing entirely and spiral into permanent poverty. in your case, they couldn't even buy the input goods to begin with, because british artisans had already hoarded all the inputs at 4 a.m. thanks to their CloudMart+ memberships.

From people who have played it, it's significantly more complex than eu4. You're actually administrating a nation with real people in it, an economy, and so on. Unlike eu4 which is a glorified map painter game, and 90% of the game being abstract board game tier shit like "paper" or "bird" power. If you had -3 stability, in the span of a single day you could just use enough paper power to bring it up and fix your nation's stability. People still argue whether CK3 has surpassed CK2, or if vic3 is even as good as vic2, but I don't think this will be the case for eu5 and eu4. Beyond popular eu4 mods that are yet to be ported into eu5, and people who literally just care to blob, I think eu5 will be a true successor to eu5 that people unanimously agree is a better simulator

I really liked the idea of no mission trees in eu5 but the more I think about it, the less I like it. Vic2 had no missions and events/decisions were pushing you to do certain stuff but the game's span is only 100 years and most of the major nations are already formed.

i've noticed that native english speakers tend to completely give up on reading and trying to surmise the pronunciation of long and difficult words. particularly arumba will do so
my theory is that due to the english language not being a phonetic language its speakers are so used to needing to hear the words spoken to discern their pronunciation they just don't bother with actually reading. the written english is essentially hieroglyphics, but comprised of latin letters. you can never be sure what each word is until you learn how to speak it aloud
