>Play Vic II
>Play as Austria
>Refuse to savescum
>Want to expand through Balkans and don't want to create Germany
>After 20 years realize Prussia is weaker than me
>Maybe I will just create South German Federation since Baden is attacking northern OPMs and Prussia anyways
>Forgot this won't include Austria
>Now I have a big puppet and two bordergore provinces
>Released an OPM but still have one (1) bordergore
>Fuck it, now I have to create Germany or I will be stuck with bordergore untill the end of the game
>Push through necessary wars
>Have to fight at least four wars (one of which was a Great War) to demote Prussia to secondary power
>mfw Britain steals my Suez canal since Spain conquered Sinai because Egypt was allied with Yemen which was conquered by aforementioned Spain and had "Liberate" casus belli which meant I couldn't intervene and in spite of having 6% nitroglicerine RNG just wouldnt let me have it
>Waste 10 bad goy points on taking it back
>France keeps attacking for Alsace every 5 years like clockwork
>Can't just sphere Prussia since we have a truce and couldn't just add casus belli since I had too much infamy.
>Try "add to sphere" to save time and having to deal with other Great Powers
>Fuck too much bad goy points
>Russia, Netherlands, USA and France with its allies attack me in a span of couple of months
>Meanwhile Boxers fail to interest anyone
>too much bad goy points so German and Italian allies refuse to help me
>in a war so no way to drop infamy
>fuck will have to reload
>wait for the magic number to drop so I can have the same war over the same reason
>Finally create German Empire
>Get like 10 decisions, half of which are dedicated to Prussia (which is weird, since in this timeline Prussia is the one to fail the test of time)
>pic related
>Schleswig is NOT annexed for some reason
>no will to continue the campaign
Do (You) sometimes feel like the mechanics of Paradox games limit the player in a way that feels artificial?

I think it's culturally Danish. Holstein and S-H is German.

that wasn't the point. The point was that none of this would happen if Paradox put a mechanic that would allow for a state transfer between states, especially between empires and their puppets

This is the same dev team that could let you collapse a country from great power status by simply occupying them for a couple of years. Or the pre 1.4 nationwide rebellions.

There is a mechanic for that, it's called console commands.

Why would they add this? It doesn't happen in reality.

What's with all the autistic memes in this place? I posted a game with Germany yesterday and I got swarmed by "HAHAHA GROßGERMANIUM XDDD" posts. WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU EXPECT A NEW PLAYER TO POST YOU FUCKING AUTISTS??

And before that I asked a simple question on how I crack the game and I again got swarmed by fucking autists with all their unfunny inside jokes. Fuck you and fuck those games, they are literally one of the most boring shit I've ever touched. Also fuck the guy in /twg/ who suggested I try out those autistic map painting simulators and "ask for guidance on the /gsg/ general and they will help you". Bunch of manchildren.

Pay no mind to it, it's people from the cesspit that is /gsg/.
They are basically the Jews of this board, they've been kicked out of /v/ and /vg/ and now they're here, refusing to assimilate and trying to subvert the board culture

OP and his epic clitty meltdown is the best example of why gatekeeping is necessary.
Imagine being such a pussy that a few shitposts get on your nerves this much.
I dont even browse /gsg/ but this is embarassing.

Vicky 2 would be perfect with eu3's infamy. How fast you lose it, how much you gain, territory cost, everything.
The "maybe they'll find out we're planning to conquer them. OOPS 19 INFAMY!" is bad.

meds now, that was not OP, I'm OP and an vnbothered Aryan, frognigger
>reddit space
The point of the OP was to show the rigidness of Vic2 mechanics that make the game feel unrealistic such as:
>hard cap 25 infamy
>no way to intervene in a war if my spherling has chosen a casus belli even if I as a state have a very keen interest in that region
>no way to change borders without war with the exception of scripted decisions
>>2212346
but I DON'T WANT TO. Having to reload a save is enough to leave a bad taste in my mouth. I shouldn't resort to cheating if there could a mechanic (just like in eu4 and ck2)
>>2212411
Anon, there are at least two ('Seward's Icebox' and 'Webster–Ashburton Treaty') decisions in the vanilla game that are about peacefull transfer of states between nations. I'm not really a history buff but it isn't out of the question that it isn't something unheard of in 19th century.
