there as to be something in the binary video data, maybe some kind of pattern, that would indicate if the video was made from ai. if there is hopefully youtube or some future version of youtube would be able to set up a filter to remove or at the least label if a video was generated by ai or has ai of some kind. i imagine this is the case with audio recording as well seeing as ai gen voice is also becoming pretty good. maybe even photos though a picture has way less binary data to analyze compared to a 10 sec video or audio recording so it would be harder to identify. the simple solution would be to force ai to add some hidden marker in the code that says "produced with ai" though the open source versions can/will just get forked and have that removed by malicious parties. and if theres one thing that time has proved and we know for certain is that there is always malicious parties

I think it's not so much that he never has, but never will be able to, because his brain didn't develop the necessary pathways to do so. As far as whether that makes him not human I think that's up for interpretation honestly, personally I'd say that's maybe going a bit far, but the fact remains that he can't act as a human as we think of one in any meaningful way. Like if you look at a person in a coma are they human? I guess they are but it doesn't particularly mean much for them.

Like hypothetically let's say you managed to raise a chimp baby and it learned how to speak human language and act as a human, and you had your feral child which couldn't do either and never would be able to due to missing that window in development. nobody disputes this. nobody is hating on people who want to be left alone. i had considered but didn't end up bothering articulating that choosing to live solipsistically and ignoring the reality that other people exist is a valid choice.

Yeah sorry I think I also came into this discussion partway through so maybe I missed the point of it... I just think you're maybe thinking something along the lines of "I could choose to go feral and live out in the wilderness like an animal and I would still be human" which is absolutely true, because you would be making a conscious choice to do so, which is a big part of the human experience. But the feral child in your example made no such choice, they cannot be anything else and lack the cognitive abilities to even comprehend the idea of being anything else. Even if you try to bring them into human society later they will do no better than a chimp being paraded around in human clothes because they missed that critical window of development and there's not really any way of getting that back. That's where I think the whole thing gets murkier, though for what it's worth I don't think I'd go so far as to say they're 100% not human either, but just that it's not so cut and dry that the distinction is as obvious as you are implying it to be.
