Left is fine but right is objectively better. Some people just refuse change and will always like the original better. When Irys changed her model I saw some people saying they preferred her old model which her original model was not attractive. Then there's Lumi which, yes she does look like blonde Veibae, but the quality of the art compared to her last model is far superior.

deyuis colors are fine for illustrations, but not for live2d. proportions just make her look like a fat chick. the outfit concept is more update to the current "in" styles and eye shape is better but that's about it

The "washed out" look is to make the model look softer. I think it's fine personally. I don't see how it's not applicable for live2D. I do agree that the legs are a little too thick for my liking but many people seem to enjoy thunder thighs so I see why she included them. The leg thickness is my only critique on the model and even then I'd only suggest a minor reduction (doesn't need to be as thin as her original model's thighs) otherwise it's great.I honestly think people just try to shit on new models to try to make the person behind them feel bad for spending so much money on them.

I'll be completely honest. I prefer the right but it still needs some corrections that shouldn't be hard to fix:

>needs more contrast overall
>arms too short
>shoulders don't look like they're sitting 'relaxed', it's like she's lifting them a little which makes he look tense
The things I like are:

>color palette
>significantly higher quality illustration
>hair and face are cuter

Her chumpiness was what I really loved about her model. It felt really relaxed and approachable and made her fun to watch.
For me it's like she "fixed" everything she thought was a problem but those imperfections were what I found charming and endearing.

Also the emotes are all objectively worse now, much less expressive and harder to read. The new thumbs up emote almost doesn't even have a thumbs up in it.

I disagree. I feel like the new model leans too far into the cutesy side, it makes her look like a hello kitty girl. I much prefer the old model as it has the casual, girl next door kind of cute. It looks a lot less desperate and more like someone who looks cute without even trying.
