I hope open source multimodality becomes feasible next year, native audio/image generation would open a world of possibilities for Neuro.

There is that, but I am also hoping more things go well with the 1-bit (or 1.58 bit) model the chinese are working on as well. Being able to run Neuro on a bigger parameter model I'd assume would make it easier for multimodality to work more seemlessly, and the latency should also be comparable as well to a model much smaller but with higher precision.
Plus, if it does prove out, then the hardware to work with 1, 0, -1 bits would be probably created to be more optimized with that in mind; giving the only "latency" being virtually only capped by Vedal's own code or the latency seen between wires of hardware components
