For me its because they feel like sisters bantering and can bounce off each other really well, from talk topics to banter. The farming sim collab was a really good example of this. It was just four hours of them talking about things that they like with almost no stops at all.
I think Vivi definitely watched a lot of Pekora before debuting but is trying to keep it relatively low but I don't think Pekora really minds all that much. She brought up the Yakuza thumbnail thing herself afterall.

To further expand on this, Pekora is really perceptive when it comes to other people and emotions. I fully trust in her judge of character, Its a side effect of her constantly being worried what others think about her and how she goes out of her way to not offend people, which is why shes always seen as the quiet one in the office stories that she's in, well she even admitted it herself recently that she goes out of her way to think of others feelings.
Also Vivi seems to know a lot of older Pekora in-jokes. She said she watched a little bit before but its definitely more than just a little bit.

Not that anon but Peko's not full-comp type gamer though unless she explicitly says she wanna do so. Especially if the sub-quest is insignificant to main story or not directly related to the main characters. She rarely revisits town/city just for some dialogue/story update unless it is railroaded along quest marker. The only holomems going that far are Koyo, Lui, and Okayu (from DQ streams I have wached.) I still haven't finished watching Koyo's play-through so I can't say for sure about Chrono trigger

Still side quest is kinda big thing in this game so there might be a chance she spots some comments by JP backseaters and decide to do it.
