Streaming revenue from VTubers is growing (despite people saying stuff like cn vtubing is dead etc), and so is revenue from fleshtubers they've been luring over. Recently, there's even adoption of the same idea cover had: farming ex-idols to become new vtubers (It worked great). So it's like saying Twitch would bend over backward for Ironmouse because she's their No. 1 VTuber.
Granted, the scale is totally different (it's Hololive after all!), and the transition has been pretty wishy-washy, but I still can't see things being so dire that they'd need to beg. It's probably a win win contract where the only losers are us old viewers.
