typically we have had nene getting isolated like especially on counter attack and just streaking down the field for solo goals off of lobbed passes, and thats why she's always been one of the GOATs of all time scorers.
but with this tactic she's often falling back to fill in space and ends up having to hold up the ball for runners and feed assists with her back to the goal instead of running on, she's too crowded to get isolated and use her speed. the SS and CMs are often coming in to her position and literally standing on her toes, forcing her to move.
could be too much centre attack focus, could be the Flex positioning. i traditionally dont really like flex because you rely on shit AI instead of your own genius tactics. in theory SS should be the ones dropping in to space like that, whilst CF nene always stays pushed up as much as poss making cutting runs.

however the positive of this is that we did actually have some really good offensive triangles, there where tons of overlaps and people making cutting runs inside - we had good attacks and lots of goals. it's just not nene on the end of it.
so offensively you could maybe say this is good, or try those tweaks still. idk if this PES has Inside Forwards or Inverted Wingers but you could push the SS out to those roles instead possibly.

defensively, less to say. bit of a crapshoot on PES anyway, but what is FLP? Flip? Full Press? anyway just feels like they need to get fucking deeper. the def. AI is too fucking retarded for full pitch press. it's fine having the forwards press hard but the back line needs to park the fucking bus deep and just clear it for Nene counter attacks. Hime was forced to play as a sweeper because there is just no one behind the ball.

I'm still learning, so I can try to explain some of this stuff - I used flexible before when I had a genuinely SHIT formation, because it felt better, likely because it made up for the shit formation. Maintain would probably be better on the formation from today, but I'll fully admit that I didn't test it at all. So, that'll be something to test before 9, if I decide to manage after this showing. I won't make that decision right now because I'm still kicking myself over the losses, although full disclosure, I feel WAY better about our performance this weekend than last weekend and these losses didn't hurt so bad.

As far as FLP, that's Frontline Pressure udner defensive styles. It's defined by Konami as "Frontline Pressure: When possession is lost, players apply pressure from the front looking to win the ball high up the pitch. " the other option is all-out defense, which is like, defensive wall. i could try moving the defensive line up or down, and honestly, moving it back might work because i have all the fullbacks set to be pretty aggressive and surge up into the midfield... which is what costs us those breakaway goals and leaves hime on her own, i think. maybe. it's all still black magic to me.

PES has wingers but i am told they are retarded and take an immense amount of work to get working. so, based on what you're saying, i can test maintain, i can test moving the d-line, and i can test all-out defense vs frontline pressure, no problem. although take it with a grain of salt: we CRUSHED victories in my testing this week, and you can see what happened on game day.

i just sometimes love getting into a bit of sports tactics autism like this, if it helps at all idk - my schedule and availability is all over the place so i certainly couldn't do it myself.
and ok yeah, the frontline press was good, we did good there harassing high up the pitch. but the backline was AASSSSS. non-existent, hank hill ass.
as for wingers yeah they are shit, you rarely score from cross and header in PES, plus they are bad playing the touchline and just run the ball out of play. inverted winger/forward is good though but they might not exist. it's basically how the SS were playing, but starting from wider so they don't literally run into nene and the opposite side of the pitch as much - they and the CM were doing that. however as i say offence was quite positive, just very different from the expected nene spotlight.

Well, if you think playing from wider would help, I think I can move the SS wider without turning them into wingers. I just kept them close in because my GOAL was to basically pass to Nene and inshallah, but as evident from today, neither the pass to Nene nor the inshallah part happened. Also, I really wanna say - last week, POLMAO was an AMF with Hole Player (my intention was for her to get sneaky goals while the defense is focused on the Nenechi freight train), this week she was a CMF with box to box and she was my personal MVP of the day, along with Nekko (who is effectively a copy of PLEASE JUST READ IT and Lameowth, the other CMFs). I'm really, really pleased with her performance and will be keeping that. Also, throughout every formation I've tested, Beetle Queen/Lamy the Betrayer/Post Wife, the DMFs, have been just absolutely solid, love them a lot and won't be touching them if I can help it. And yes, I want Nenechi to be the scorer for the most part, so I'll work on fine tuning that. Sadly, goal poacher would probably be the best card for her but is banned at the moment. I'll try playing with the d-line and see if that helps, or making the fullbacks a little less offensive. And finally, I greatly appreciate the sports autism. IRL footie knowledge doesn't transfer 1:1 with PES knowledge, but giving me (who knows nothing about either) ideas to test is helpful in and of itself. Thanks for watching! yeah i agree Nekko was coming in great to support attacks with big gaps made in the defence, so i think it's a matter of getting juuust a little more space to breath for our attackers, with the 2x SS often stepping on toes there.

We kept bringing her around open windows and public areas in order to draw the would-be assassin out because we knew he had too much pride to just shoot her from long range. He had used his payment to hire another bounty hunter to kill the senator for him while he sent us on a wild bantha chase. Also the 2nd assassin used her payment to buy a robot to assassinate the senator for her. Did I mention the 2nd assassin was a shapeshifter? She could have been a good friend in disguise and just shot the senator for all we knew! Then the robot used its payment to buy poisonous bugs to release into the senator's room while she slept after lasering a hole through the window. It could have just lasered her too after that because we weren't watching her at all, but it already bought the bugs. So we sense the hostile life forms (not the robot) in the room and rush in and save the senator in the nick of time! Then I jumped out the window to chase the robot back to its owner! Luckily it didn't have a self-destruct function. Then we found the 2nd assassin and chased her across the planet, and caught her when she tried to kill us instead of shapeshifting and escaping. But to our surprise, Jango Fett was watching the whole thing instead of going to kill the senator while we were away chasing the bugs chasing the robot chasing the shapeshifter. He shot her with a poisonous dart instead of sniper blaster, and only her instead of shooting all of us or blowing all of us with a rocket or something, then he escaped with his tiny jetpack. Luckily for the senator, my good friend Dexter Jettster owned a 50s dinner on Coruscant that had Republic secrets on the menu along with cheeseburgers and malt shakes. We found the assassin and Mace Window killed him later, right in front of Boba. And he was a good friend.
