OffKai is weird. Like they only announce certain vtubers as guests, meanwhile they have shit loads notable vtubers on their main stage doing concerts and panels and they don't promote them.
Mint did a lot at Offkai this year again, but wasn't a guest. Phase technically only had 3 guests there, yet had a full 3D concert with 5 girls who were not guests. etc.

Offkai was basically a 9 out of 10 for me.

Offkai gen 1 had 7/10 tech reliability, gen 2 had 5/10 tech reliability, gen 3 had 7/10 tech reliability, and this gen has 9/10 tech reliability.

The new venue's waiting times were great, the worst was like... maybe 3 minutes in the security line going into the building itself. MUCH better compared to the 1 hour I had to spend to get into the artist alley last year (gen 3).

I bought a few times, though I think I was more restrained than last year. Bought the 3AM standee set, as well as the Snuffy exclusive. Bastards wouldn't sell me the bag though, I could have used it for my cutout.

I went to three hotel parties, they were claustrophobic thanks to the lack of windows. But I lasted like an hour in each thanks to the musical entertainment. Chuuzerkai and Moso Matsuri were great.

Next year I expect gen 5 to happen in the same venue, I assume it'll get like 10k attendees. And who knows, maybe by 2030 Offkai's size might even rival Fanime.

Actually attended offkai. Honestly was a pretty cozy con outside of the people who smelled like ass, but in fairness i think that's being overblown because almost every con i've been to on the west coast during summer months smells like ripe asshole. Some notes:

>Venue was fantastic, they should have it again next year. Tech issues were pretty minimal and the wifi was pretty damn powerful.
>The way meet n greets got past the "official guest" bullshit was a bunch of the companies did their own non-con meet n greets at their own booths. Hell, even some of the ones that were official guests did an additional booth meet n greet. From what I heard the only real benefit to the paid meet n greets was you got a giant autographed card, which is nice you at least get something physical too
>Huge Phase Fan Presence, they were fucking everywhere and any time they did a meet and greet in the industry hall it was a massive line. It felt like they were almost rivaling hololive in fan presence at this con
>A lot of Jailbirds in tow, also a lot of Takodachis and Grems. You couldn't walk 5 feet without someone having a Gigi reference.
>Outside of phase, the busiest booths were probably Kawa Entertainment's merch booth, V4Mirai's booth, and 3ams. In V4Mirai's case they were doing a ton of meet n greets, and in 3am's case they had been giving out a ton of free shit (they gave away free merch bags that you wore like a backpack that were fucking MASSIVE) plus they did a meet n greet run and had the major announcement with Snuffy joining them.
>Almost no vshojo presence outside of Zen and Amalee doing their stream tour and one collab merch booth. They had some meet n greets but those were on Sunday, which is like the slowest day of the con. Despite that I saw a lot of melody fans, so they at least showed up.
>Artist Alley was absolutely plastered up and down with Mint Fantome and Dokibird stuff. Nimi had a really good amount so I'd expect in the future for hers to get larger. For hololive Ina was super popular and almost every booth had something of her there.
>Also speaking of Mint, she did a digital meet n greet at a booth and went overtime to try and get as many as she could on Friday. She was basically talking to people all the way until the exhibition hall was forcefully closed.
>There was a rumor that some of the minor con issues were caused by several staffers no showing days two and three. I couldn't tell you the specifics as to why, but with that said the volunteers did they best they could but you could tell they were stretched pretty thin.
>The other big rumor floating around was most of the vtubers in attendance intentionally sectioned themselves off from the general audiences most of the con, probably for opsec/safety reasons after what happened to camila. There were occasional sightings out on the floor but for the most part they were nowhere in site
>The con parties on the party floor were nutty and there was a black market maid cafe that got closed by the fire Marshall. The booze was fucking flowing at almost every party so i wouldn't rule anything out.
>Offkai live was a pretty good show, Kizuna showed why she got top billing and Nerissa's was rock solid too. The lines for this was insane, one of the longest I've seen for a small con.
>Chuuzerkai stuff was a lot of fun from what I could catch from it. Nyaru was working her ass off that entire con, so mad props to her.
>The yabai market where they sold NSFW stuff had a massive line for it too pretty much every night, and there was some crazy shit there too. If you like your smut it was well worth the wait.
>There was less cosplaying than I expected, but from what I did see most of it was Hololive. There were some cool indie cosplays out there though.

That's pretty much all I can think of. I had a good time and it was worth the trip.

It was a dispute over if they could still produce music under their original name and have it not owned or controlled by nijisanji. Ninjsanji is one of the most overbearing corpos in that regard so they hit a hard impass and it ended with their graduation and not quite a termination.
Although it was clear management was not happy they were getting a positive send off by everyone else in NijiEN so they went the smear route like with Zaion and Selen.

I haven’t heard of them before but they also has some pretty sweet free loot and a crane machine, which was fun. I went to their booth for a meet and greet but they seemed really busy the whole day.
