On twitch you get points for watching streams. These points are unique for each streamer, and they can set up redeems for you to spend them on. They can be a free emote, abstract things like making the streamer take a sip of water, or they can interact with the stream itself by showing a gif, playing a sound, etc. Proto CC had one where you could throw her out of the window, or one that let you flick her forehead. The streamer can also give each redeem a timer, or set a maximum amount of times it can be redeemed each stream, so things don't get too crazy.

Imagine you go to a completely foreign land, granted one that you've likely wanted to go to, but you feel isolated and don't know the language at all. I love solo travelling, but the prospect of going to somewhere where I don't know the language and only know the culture on basis of the media they produce makes me a bit nervous. Now add in the 'being a woman' factor and it easily makes sense why she'd be hanging around with coworkers. Not to mention that it's easy content for later talks that fans LOVE to hear.
