To clarify, her new CPU isn't terrible or anything, it's just not better than her old one (Ryzen 7 5800X) while consuming more power. She could've gone for a 5800X3D and got more performance without changing mobo, or a 7800X3D/9800X3D with a new mobo and RAM for a more serious upgrade.

True, though AFAIK it isn't *that* much better than the 7800X3D. Personally, if money were no option, I'd go with the full on 9950X3D, 64GB of RAM and whatever the best GPU currently on the market is for Sora's build.
