Holostars can collab with whoever the fuck they want.
Even people who're effectively blacklisted from holo or extremely rare collab options like Ironmouse or Dokibird are available.
Dunno about the other points, but the collab one is bunk. As for the "if other stars like you" thing, as long as you're not a dickwad behind the scenes, they'll be cool. Just look at this board's boogeyman Jurard. The board treats him like a sexpest but the other content creators love having him around.
Also I'm pretty sure you get to work with your artist since at least Advent. They usually have control over the direction but you can tweak it midway through.
Perms and cover's split is annoying, but if you think you can deal with it, it's probably the most cushy job in the industry since even though it's far less than hololive and can still be negligent, Holostars definitely get support. The real problem with the holostars is that the guys they have, while nice people, aren't exactly funny outside of maybe Bettel, Ruze, and Jurard, and don't exactly stream very well. I love Axel and Altare for what they did for Doki and I wanted to like them but they're just so boring...
If you think you can court the fujos though, Nijisanji is always an option. The new boy wave BtB seems to be doing fine even without considering the bots. The fanbase is cancer and the management will likely tear you down mentally, but they'll likely have better highs than holostar right now.
The last option I think is first stage productions, which are apparently a rising star for male vtubers. It's an all-male company and they seem to be doing well over there. Haven't heard of any yabs yet.
