Holostars can collab with whoever the fuck they want.
Even people who're effectively blacklisted from holo or extremely rare collab options like Ironmouse or Dokibird are available.
Dunno about the other points, but the collab one is bunk. As for the "if other stars like you" thing, as long as you're not a dickwad behind the scenes, they'll be cool. Just look at this board's boogeyman Jurard. The board treats him like a sexpest but the other content creators love having him around.
Also I'm pretty sure you get to work with your artist since at least Advent. They usually have control over the direction but you can tweak it midway through.

Perms and cover's split is annoying, but if you think you can deal with it, it's probably the most cushy job in the industry since even though it's far less than hololive and can still be negligent, Holostars definitely get support. The real problem with the holostars is that the guys they have, while nice people, aren't exactly funny outside of maybe Bettel, Ruze, and Jurard, and don't exactly stream very well. I love Axel and Altare for what they did for Doki and I wanted to like them but they're just so boring...

If you think you can court the fujos though, Nijisanji is always an option. The new boy wave BtB seems to be doing fine even without considering the bots. The fanbase is cancer and the management will likely tear you down mentally, but they'll likely have better highs than holostar right now.

The last option I think is first stage productions, which are apparently a rising star for male vtubers. It's an all-male company and they seem to be doing well over there. Haven't heard of any yabs yet.

Holostars fans are complaining on Reddit that Holostars news should continue to be posted on the Hololive EN account. Cover is usually quick to respond so it's noticeable the mods aren't saying anything and there hasn't been any clarification on twitter. They could retweet Holostars news on the Hololive account but so far they aren't promising that. If they are debuting a Holostars gen after losing Ame, Fauna, Mumei, and Gura than management could be expecting backlash so they made a separate twitter account to dampen that.

The timing for a new Holostars gen in 2025 is even worse than 2022 but feels like a Yagoo decision. There is a window for a new HoloEN gen which fans are expecting after the recent graduations so he decides to release a new Holostars gen.

The extreme care and attention paid to holostars contrasted with the basic, careless approach to hololive is like if Coca-Cola used 70% of their social media posts on fucking Diet Barq's Root Beer or something. I think it's more likely that they just choose who to follow, considering who follows who. It's possible it was the case in gens 1-2 though.
Someone posted a whole ass chart showing the full list of who follows which girl and how many of them are following who and after gen 2 it becomes pretty random, with the obvious ones having more like Shiori, Rissa(likely for music collabs since it was people like hakka), or Liz. Even then it could've been because they were actually interacting at the time and might not've been any kind of mandate.
If the thread's still alive when I'm back from work I'll try to find that list again.

I think most Holostars fans understand that you can't force Hololive fans to watch the guys. Most of them know it's horrible timing to debut a new male EN gen only months after those fans lost Ame, Fauna, Gura, and Mumei. Still there are some fans that really want to force Holostars even if that burns away casual fans. They are going to celebrate loudly at the same time Gura has an indie redebut as Sameko Saba. Cover is choosing a really horrible time to remind HoloEN fans that they don't care about the girls or their fans.

There is no real evidence that they are going to debut a new gen at this time, some people are just assuming because they created a new Twitter account and there were some recent male vtuber graduations. The graduations could just as easily be for FSP's new gen, which is already confirmed to be on the way, and the Twitter could just be because they have lots of shit planned for StarsEN's anniversary, which is coming up in July.

But I thought Holostars and Hololive are separate? Separate fanbase, separate management, Holostars is not Hololive and all that? New EN debuts bring in new fans and they do encourage current talents to be nicer to their fans and to stream more. This has been noticeable since Council debuted and even when Gura was fighting with Cover she did become a consistent streamer with the debut of a new EN gen. Having more competition does encourage them to do more which has been an issue with HoloEN for years.
