If you're confident you can judge a good manager who knows who to contact and how to cast the net then the only thing a corpo can give you should be, at least in theory, an actual baseline wage.
Otherwise said corpo should be using whatever resources it can to increase your popularity through ads and larger budgets for events or projects.
Things you'd otherwise have to earn the headway for yourself, the negative there being that you'd basically be in dept to the corpo for the cost of whatever project you make and all profit would be 50/50 (hypothetically).

To that end, Corpo is just having a financial backing of people that know how to do the parts of the job that you don't. It still has its benefits but for somebody unseasoned its probably better as an early career option.
