So fucking good. I'm so glad she played the first one. Being forced to listen to audio logs of the Citadel crew members in the first game in order to have any idea of what to do was so genius of the developers. You have to hear in detail every single thing that went wrong and you come into this game seeing that the captain of this ship lived his life with the knowledge of the first incident being caused by his dad hanging over him and actually tried everything he could to keep something like this from ever happening . It does a good job of really making you feel like shit. Sometimes even devoting your life to something isn't enough.

I like this list in that it lays out the different kinds of freak pretty well but am not fond of ranking chuubas in any way. It breeds discontent and can make threads unbearable. There are different kinds of /freak/, some being design-only, and they should be allowed to exist in their lanes. What a vtuber specifically likes or doesn't like is whatever as long as they meet one of the criteria. I'm all for preserving the roots of the thread but all this talk about posers and people who don't respect ryona means nothing to me. There's always talk about it but never any actual effort to keep it alive. I've probably singlehandedly posted the most aesthetic-only freaks who wouldn't have been in /meat/ while also posting the most violently filtering posts and content possible. If someone is worried about our roots dying but only complaining and not helping to keep them alive, they mean NOTHING to me. You can have whatever opinions you want about individuals but I only care about whether they're relevant or not by the standards laid out already. There are plenty who seem like they're merely normal fags with a creepy design and nothing else only for it to turn out they're extremely into guro or other things but are simply shy or held back by their fans so you can never really know. We would be arguing all day, every day about what and who is TRVΣ FRΣΔK and who is only wearing it as a skinsuit, so there's no point in wading into those waters. Also I could go without ever hearing wvt or asp mentioned again. They're never mentioned in any coherent way. We get /asp/ies that are relevant and join the thread sometimes and that's nice and is all that needs to be said

As a long time /choc/ regular who used to only lurk here; until the last 6 months or so, we used to get the same kind of nonsense all the time with people trying to police what made someone "Real Choc", saying tanned alts don't count, trying to keep dark elves out, etc. They still crop up here and there but the thread actively shit(s) on them and that's been nothing but good for the health of it. We used to be a "sometimes" thread and now we're consistently up almost all the time barring a catalog shitstorm.

I baked and bumped the early /vrt/ threads even going back to when it was called /onolumi/ with only a few of us making up the thread. The makings of the conflict was always there. There was always an onolumi fan who hated males and was kind of schizo about it and another who was fond of them and neither could fucking help but antagonize each other instead of ignoring

Aside from the guy who hated males, a lot of the skullduggery that went on in there was from one other guy directing it all on one poor girl who was finding her feet as an up and comer and hadn't thought of making schedules yet, and was seemingly only a semi-retro streamer at the time. You could definitely tell he was singling her out when he started autistically calculating how much retro games were being streamed by the hour by each of the streamers showcased there, trying to take control of the thread and saying all the streamers should have a minimum amount of hours of retro games being streamed each week to continue being put in the OP, and she was the only one under the amount of hours he pulled out of his ass that day.
Thankfully she endured, started making schedules, had her own thread compete in Divegrass a bunch of times, even getting third place in one of the leagues, been picked more than once to play in the main 4CC as one of /vt/'s players, and all in all has become a mainstay of /vt/ as a whole since then!
