hololive is gonna be alright, because they at least have something unique to them. If you wanna be an idol and do concerts, it's the place to go. They do group activities all the time, and they grow together, a rising tide lifts all boats.
VShojo on the other hand has no identity. They barely collab with eachother, did they even have a big collab with all the members this year, hell even the past year?
With Zen leaving, who at least tried to collab with everyone, now they are just a bunch of indies who stream whatever. There's no unity, no common purpuse, and Ironmouse seems to be more interested in collabing with fleshstreamers than her own co-workers.
If freedom is all they have, I feel like that's not good enough in these times. What's the difference between them and Mythic?

Like a really huge deal? There's no restrictions for people to leave, and they can still collab with members.
From a viewer perspective, it's still the best thing ever since nothing changes. No sad graduation where you have to pretend you'll never see them again, and no hunting around for their new IP to start over.

I know I would've loved if Doki was able to keep the Selen IP, even if she stopped using it at some point or just had it as a background asset to bring out whenever.

They also give someone a platform that is recognizable I fail to see what vshojo is doing that's less than any other corporation the fact they offer paid counseling services and mental health stipends is a lot more than most in the space

Their content does not change. Their friends and frequent collaborators do not change.
Everything is exactly the same and I, as the viewer, have lost absolutely nothing.

If you are a low-3view, holo offers you a substantial increase in audience and income, a group of big talents for collabs, music opportunities, industry connections, large events, etc. And like we have seen with graduated members you can keep most of your audience and even the connections after leaving (just look at ex-holos getting models from their holo mamas despite most of them not taking commissions from indivuduals).

The thing with vshojo is that it's no longer 2021, and the kind of things they offer aren't that big of a deal for the kind of people vshojo usualy goes after (large 4views with established audiences and is networked with other big players in the scene). Merch? anyone can set up a Shopify page these days and skip the Gunrun middleman, "high quality" models? If you have the sort of numbers and networking required to get into vshojo, chances are you can easily commision a model yourself, Sponsors? Same thing, if you are big enough to get into vshojo chances are you already have the likes of Gamersupps knocking at your door.
