Also from what I can tell she joined to be "idol" but because she ended up as the hololive mascot she got roped into every crossover and merch thing under the sun - and knowing how this shit works I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't see *that* much money from the hololive themed crossovers. While dipshits on here who have never had a job or understand corporate work culture, that means that she was no doubt in recording sessions having to do retakes, and meetings, nonstop. She is not the kind of person who likes talking to other people in person let alone meetings.
She was constantly pushed to push merch - something that she was initially actively resistant to and later on while she was less outwardly resistant, would very clearly sabotage her own involvement in it later on.
Girl had no energy to stream because she gets 1guy'd as easily as ragebait threads on here get traction. She will read 500 messages and see the one negative one. Say what you will about her mental health for that one...
That led her to do member streams, which she then got flak for, and when she didn't do member streams she got flak for that.
She got drunk once for new years and very clearly got in huge trouble for it and never is shown to drink a single time one stream after, despite being known in previous lives for being a borderline drunk.
Meanwhile Irys and Bae have had MANY drinking streams since, as has Mori.
This is likely due to hololive putting restrictions on her for being their big mascot.
Not to mention the early drama that no doubt soured her experiences going forward - Mori was the one that Hololive spent big money on as they expected her to be the big hit - it didn't go that way and Gura - with her model that very clearly got very little of their budget - ended up getting to deal with crazy antis nonstop.
All in all while idiot troons and nolifes here will be like "mrrr streamer not streaming" they fail to consider that hololive is not *just* a streamer company - especially for talent that are successful. They're a merchandising company and she very clearly wasn't enjoying many things about her job there.
Crucially, many people here are retarded ESL fags and therefore cannot understand the concept of nuance, so either Hololive perfect and Gura evil, or Gura perfect and Hololive evil.
Rather the truth is that it just wasn't the job for her, and early management were fucking retarded and didn't know their own market, and didn't listen to Coco's advice on the things that mattered, but instead decided to focus hard on "family friendly" for the EN market to the detriment of their talents. Does that make them evil? No. It just makes them retarded. Just like everyone on this board. Myself included.
