They are just the first company when the bubble was being inflated, took a turnaround that benefited all other Vtubers in the long run, and they are suffering it from causing that.
Back when VShojo started they began by being separated from what the community was getting used to, the corpo mindset. While indies were booming, they didn’t had access to a lot. By bringing more attention to this “free” side of things, and popularizing it, more artists, riggers, modelers and agencies began taking heat. They were at some point a good difference for the medium regardless of what you might think of them.
But this outcome made them less and less appealing, and more challenging to work with them. So, a lot of indies, agencies and promotors (like GS) began to take a huge turn.
Since that, their model doesn’t work as well as it used to. Their staff aren’t that experience since it’s a young industry, and they still choose to pick only huge talent names with past branding, which would cause a massive problem due to the two factors I just mentioned
Or basically, VShojo became a thing of the past for the current landscape.
