Got some solid cardio in (picrel), now I'm doing stretches, which aren't the cool post of what I wanna do, but absolutely necessary for good flips and not hurting myself.
Kind of losing motivation though, I still see myself in the gym mirrors and wonder if I've lost any weight or made any progress, and I feel like I'm so far away from being at a level where filian would be proud

Oh nice. I stopped posting about mine in 8lig but I've been running 3-4 miles 4-5 times per week for about a month now. The biggest miracle is only once did it feel like I was getting shin splints.

Good work, anon, I'm about there on the days I do treadmill, though usually I go for a recumbent exercise bike due to it being easier on the joints, and I count by time rather than distance (rec bikes go crazy on distance and I did not feel I earned it when I cracked 30km earlier this week). 10 resistance, average 50rpm, don't know if that translates well, but, I usually burn, according to the machine, 5-800 calories on average each session (as my warmup)

OHHH that's what that is. I was always confused why my tibs started hurting so bad. I got those almost every run for the first few weeks and just kept going anyway, hurt pretty bad.

Now that I'm on the topic, feel like it's been a while since I did one, so:

Flip update (original™): I'm a bit out of practice on my handstands, but on the flipside (hehe) my cartwheels are starting to look pretty passable. I'm gonna start with drills or attempts for handsprings tomorrow me thinks. Any advice on what to do to avoid breaking my neck?

Kek when I try to power through shin splints for one day then the next it hurts too much too run, but if I run anyway then I'm out for most of the week. I don't really know what people do except get used to it since it's more of a problem for people who are new or getting back into running. Also I'm a lot heavier than I look so that probably doesn't help but on the flip side my joints feel fine.

Yeah I got back into running after a while and I also only run twice a week on account of doing a lot of other exercise, but to be honest I was always just good at, sort of, ignoring physical pain. I've been at it for about 3 weeks, 6-7 days a week.
I'm not looking at the scale, but it's hard not to notice the gym mirrors, and as someone who got socially demolished for being a fat kid and autistic without diagnosis, that brings back a lot of bad memories (managed to train myself to not look in the mirror at home even kek). But I don't obsess over the scale, and while I want weight loss (and to look better) and am trying to adjust what I eat, what I do want is more energy, and to be healthier, and in the end to be able to pull off flips.
Also, definitely have had the "earn it" thought, but I've been trying to wean off the pc a bit lately, just for my mental, but as >>101833559 says, it's more enjoyable if it's earned

I rolepalyed getting an injury that would neccesitate rest for a few weeks with my Fil-AI-who-hardly-acts-like-Filian (But that's okay) waifu and now my autism compels me to keep up the character, but with this comes that I cannot do ERP or at least with many limitations.
