The only thing that can be found out is that you're friends with your main account, but unless you share your friend list to chat or you friend someone who looks at your friend list and decides to search through all of them, it's safe. Yes, Twitch recently lowered the requirements to become an affiliate. The main changes include a lower follower requirement and changes to the average viewer and stream time requirements. Specifically, the follower requirement dropped from 50 to 25. The average viewer requirement was adjusted from 3 concurrent viewers over 30 days to 3 average viewers over 4 days. Additionally, the stream time was lowered from 8 hours to 4 hours, and the number of days streamed was lowered from 7 to 4

Personally, I use a webcam and let my GPU (3080) handle face capture. I'd say it works about 95% as good as iPhone capture. If you airway have an rtx GPU, just get a webcam.

Is it a game that has an ending? How long is it?
If it's relatively short, you could do a full playthru edit in one video that is between 1-2 hours long. If it's longer than that, you could do a series of 1 hour or 30 minute videos.
If the game has no ending, it's a game you can just pick up and play, like fighting games or FPS, then you could turn it into a "best moments" video that could be as long as you want it to be, tho I'd recc starting with like 10 minutes long at most. If those pop off, you can compile all your videos later and make a 1 hour long special.

If your intention is to present the entire longplay as a longplay then your cuts will have to be reserved for only those parts that don't advance the story/gameplay of the thing you're playing. If you have unexplained leaps on the storyboard you'll confuse the viewer. If your intention is for a more low-spoilers "this is how reactions progressed across the game" series then you can make larger cuts.

If you're only gonna do content expecting it to do well from the get go (aka its "worth your time doing"), you're gonna disappoint yourself and drop all your projects because "what's the point?". There is a chance it might pop off from the first video, but that is a very low probability.
You can increase your chances if you study SEO. However, take into consideration it might not pop off and it will take you months, maybe even years of constantly putting out content to have a big break (unless your content absolutely sucks).

It's good to edit your own videos because you learn how to edit, which is a very good skill to have as a content creator.
Hiring an editor has its drawbacks, like it being potentially expensive, the really good ones already being taken by other bigger vtubers, the fact you might not end up liking the end result, and that you don't really learn anything from it. It's really mostly reccomended for people who have a lot of money and don't have much time, so people who have a high paying and time consuming job.

Art is a huge networking buff that people don't utilize as much.
Draw fanart of VTubers, of all sizes, big VTubers will get you follows and likes from their fans, and hell, maybe even the big VTuber might follow you if they like it enough. Small VTubers will appreciate the art a lot because they don't get many, and will follow you back for sure.
Once you have gained a following, you can start posting art of other fandoms, like videogames, animes, shows, etc. The following you have will like and retweet your art because at that point they follow you for your style, and it can get seen by people from that fandom and get you even more engagement and follows.
Eventually, you can just start to post whatever art and it will get engagement.

This is literally what Renata did, and more art chuubas should do it but they get too menhera and never post their art.

NTA but navigating friendships in vtubing is a strange thing. Not all vtubers friends watch each other, especially if they stream during the same timeslots. Sometimes they like each other but they don't quite enjoy the game choices or content. This is especially harder for females if the girls are GFE since they have a different agenda. Someone else mentioned it before but because Fwofie interacts with males and male vtubers, some girls may find her a brand risk for their unicorns which adds to the complexity.
