It's literally just the bubble being well and truly popped. The holo people know where the shit they like comes from, the /pol/fags have their own corpo, and everybody else is split between small corpos trying to squeeze idol money out of a market that barely exists and indies.
This is just what saturation actually looks like. Growth is not impossible, it just means reaching people who don't know they might like this stuff now (probably) without a pandemic boom. There's more shit than ever, there's just less attention on any one facet. Find your niche and stop wishing it was 2022.
