It was also far less popular than it was once avoiding male collabs became a more popular thing. I assume you weren't around back then but you can quite easily trace a large boost in Hololive's popularity with JP Gen 3, who all renounced male collabing around debut, because they were able to pick up the Nijisanji audience who were becoming tired of the prevalence of male-female collabs at the time in Niji.
The fact of the matter is that the Holos who ended up renouncing male collabs grew. You can say Hololive was still Hololive, but the average girl back then was a 3view
