Case in point, Doki always wants her next event to be bigger or better than the last, and is constantly escalating the scale of her stuff. Two years ago, she had a low budget branchwide VRchat birthday concert by Kanauru. A year later, she had the live FantomeThief concert with Mint. This week she solely paid for and organized her own $50,000 concert using an extremely highly rated studio and a bunch of friends new and old in just under a month. She even was able to make it some of her friends' first time on stage.

She's said she wants her proper 3D debut to be even better than the recent concert, which is going to be a very, very high bar.

To be honest the singing and dancing part does nothing for me. Like at most I'll think "That's kinda neat" but i derive very little enjoyment from it.

Doki's always wanted to host events, so she started with small branchwide events for games like minecraft, etc. She did a bunch of events that slowly grew in scale...
Then at the end of last year she organized an intercontinental apex event that included top esports players as well as vtubers from all of the world. She even got some from VSPO and Neo-Porte.

Okay fuck it I'll be honest I'm just shilling my oshi. She does all kinds of weird creative shit that don't involve singing and dancing. A bit ago she organized a version of Horse Race Test but with her branding.

None of the vtubers, holos mostly I mean, are idols anyway in ways that matter. Compared to them, even early vtubers were more idol like than them. Doing skits, dancing, singing but doing it all from scratch hoping to make it big. Vtuber idols nowadays start out big with giant corpos behind their backs, they don't dance or if they do it's obviously some hired person in mocap, singing isn't done live most of the time and it's all about shilling merch and earning as much as possible. Idols are fun because it's some sexy young adult doing shit herself etc, in vtuber "idols" it doesn't apply. Some vtubers are like idols, but they are an exception and some are decent singers but that's about it.
