Twitch is a dead platform. Always has been. There's nobody out there besides myself who treats, VODs as though they were cinema. Channels, and their content are barely used beyond the live show, and for this reason the live audience is taken advantage of with 16 hour streams to get sleeper views.

I've noticed this as well where on the East Coast of the US it'll usually be dead from 4am until 7am est. So someone raids or people are just straight sleeping in these channels that have "700 viewers" and five people actually talking in chat.
It's really bad, and the streamers just look at the numbers and think they're doing great but there's nobody actually watching.

Maybe, but the VOD, and clip inactivity is what gets me. You shouldn't tell people how to operate a active channel if the only traffic you pull is during the live stream. There's so much bloat on twitch because people let their channels be so inactive outside of the live show.
