I was using DeepSeek through Chutes but they decided to lock it behind a paywall and now I am looking for alternatives to use Deepseek, even if I have to pay, the quality of the conversation is worth it.

What is the best, most secure and cheapest method to use deepseek?

I was on that same spot a few days ago. I switched to OpenRouter's deepseek R1 0528 and it's working better than my previous setup with V3 through Chutes. I use like 20~40 messages per day at most so I don't know if I'm just avoiding daily limits, but so far it worked pretty well for me. Someone in a previous thread mentioned paying for R1 too, you could try looking that up.

Hello, OpenRouter paying anon here. You can see in >>102129667 that I use a mean 730k-ish tokens per day and 30 USD of credit will last me about a month, probably. I used to use OpenRouter for Claude and liked that I could just load credit and try a bunch of different models. I just continued using it and now exclusively use R1 on there. I haven't compared their prices to other places but I'm pretty sure it's similar.
Kluster.ai was the hot place at one point but I don't know what their deal is now.

Use a cloud-based notebook like Google Colab, or maybe Runpod, Paperspace Gradient or Hugging Face. Or you could try downloading RVC WebUI if your computer can handle it.
Find a reliable RVC Colab notebook. Many are available on GitHub.
Upload the Takane Lui RVC v2 model file (the .pth and accompanying files) to your Google Drive.
In the Colab notebook, use the drive.mount() command to connect your Google Drive.
Follow the notebook's instructions to set the path to your model file on Google Drive

This is the way I do it too: VPN to my home server running ST. Though I use Chrome on my phone exclusively for ST because I found Firefox to have some weird behaviour (like the chat not scrolling with the main text box). By the looks of it, SillyTavern doesn't support being "installed" as a PWA, which would give you the native full-screen mode, so you're basically "optimal" here already.

These metrics don't really test for gooner usecases which are strictly subjective experiences. Personally, I rarely enjoyed writing smut with deepseek even with its full uncensored power but Claude and Gemini had gotten me hard despite having to go through hoops to get anything NSFW out of them. I must have 5 tokens or so, but they all hit their limit already. When I try to create an account on Github it skips the part where it normally asks for the e-mail confirmation code and takes me to the login page, but when I try to login it gives me an error and if I try to reset the password it says there's no account with this e-mail, even though the confirmation codes still show up on my e-mail.
