Energy(Cheers) has its own deck that you auto draw one per turn, so you can (mostly) plan your energy ramp.
Knocking out an opponent's holomem gives them a bonus energy encouraging come backs instead of the win-more prize system.
The collab system is a risk/reward allowing two attackers but also might let your opponent knock out two holomem in a single round.
But you're incentivized to collab to build holo power for your oshi-holomem's (commander in mtg terms) special effects.
Games are usually close assuming you build a mildly competent deck but some holomem are more over-tuned than others, it's still a card game after all.
Depending on the secondary market in your country it's probably best to just grab singles for your chosen oshi. And grab every copy of mikkorone you can find, every deck wants it, to the point it was already reprinted in the latest set.
