Credit card companies would love to keep selling porn but it gets charged-back all the time and costs them money to fix. And something like 1/3 of all credit card fraud is people stealing your card to buy porn. They also get in huge trouble if found "liable" for facilitating the purchase of something illegal, even if it's pretty much impossible to control everything that happens on the internet.
