Basically all of the male vtubers don't act like regular male streamers.
It's not just the wokeness, it is that all of them are dull or dont appeal to the majority of male viewers. All the points are sanded down and they all are the super safe brand friendly types or do coomer bfe stuff.
They try to fit into the limiting few vtuber cultures, either the youtube idol stuff or the twitch gooner.
Vedal sorta gets around this by being the "Straight man", whilst also playing into it by surrounding himself with all the vtuber weirdness. And Uwoslab is unique, but not really a vtuber.

There is no vtuber equivalent of Jerma, Shroud, XQC, Summit, Caseoh, Ludwig, Timthetat, etc

Male vtubers only make content that is only targeted for the niche demographic is surrounding the corpo idol style, or the twich coomer style.
They don't make well edited / high effort youtube videos either. Like SmallAnt, Welyn or Wirtual.
Only collab highlights, lightly edited playthroughs. Or do shitty covers of songs.
Don't get me started on the React slop spam. They are just to boring and repetitive.

Male Viewers watch Female vtubers for a few specific reasons.
Male Vtubers dont fit this, but they try to replicate what the females are doing.
It is like they trapped themselves in this bubble.

Unironically? I don't like the random kisses or asmr sounds in the middle of an otherwise normal stream. They try too hard to appeal to a certain demographic instead of just trying to be entertaining, and it really sours it for me

There is a large disliking for male vtubers. I explain why and what make standard male streamers more appealing. There is a pretty clear difference in consumer demographics between the two that has not really been captured. You don't need to be autistic to see this.

At the end of the day, most EN streamers are just that - streamers. Kayfabe doesn’t really exist. Thing is that the market for EN vtubers isn’t really growing, it’s stagnant if not shrinking. Having an ikemen model and pandering to the female audience can still work, I think the new NijiEN guys are doing okay, but it also makes you a hard sell for a wider audience.
If you’re a girl that doesn’t get it, then I guess it’s like tuning into a streamer that does GFE while she’s currently streaming vidya. Just gives you a sense of “Oh, I am not the target demographic”.
