One the benefits of the talents owning their own IP is that if they leave the org they don't have to start their career over from scratch. Which means they all essentially keep their audience from when they were in the org.

Close but no, you are right about some things, but I would say more that VShojo, and the audience of both current and former, don't really have these two things: tribalism, and expectations for a group environment. More often than enough, most of the people who watch any of those I mentioned, watch more streamers or indies than regular corpo vtubers, this nonsensical line of the group clashes with that to the point that they really don't care at the end of the day.
You aren't less of a "VShojo viewer" if you still watch Nyan, Vei or Silver, and neither of those who followed. Because most are used to that rodeo.

She always says she is thankful for the support an I really appreciate it. She works hard everyday and is active a lot. But let's be real, she get money for actually doing nothing. She never compromised about the things she doesn't want to do anymore like singing, be it in karaoke or even doing covers. Or hand cams or basically all the things she used to do during pika days.
