I genuinely think the Vesper/Magni booting is a fascinating mystery.
It's not just the strange manner of how they were "let go", but also the fact that it followed Vesper ghosting most of the branch and clearly having some spat with Altare, and then you've got the homolovers like Mori, Ame and Kronii having really cold reactions towards their departure or not even saying anything at all; AND it basically lead to the entire tempiss branch to be basically blacklisted and never getting a collab again into Shiori.

Sure we can all imagine some narrarive like "they felt betrayed because they put sacrificed their goodwill with unicorns for them" but at the end of the day it's just that, a narrative.
