Honestly from what we have seen and heard, no.
It doesn't seem to be adding a lot, it's not like the SaGa Frontier 2 remaster from example.
But Ririka was looking forward to having full voice-acting for the scenes and she was pretty new to SRPGs when she first played it so it kind of justifies a second run. I am sure she will have fun with it.

I define retro as more tech than age personally, so even if the Wii adopted some aspects of the Ps360 generation, it's still closer to the previous generation IMO.
