If I had to guess, and I don't know shit at all, but Gunrun and MTD have always been a tech nerd and a hype man / shitposter respectively and both came to realize that if they really wanted to make VShojo bigger they needed more people who know what the fuck they were doing with the business side of vtubing and then hired some people to run things while they could focus on the things they were good at. Those people turned out to be crooks or filanderers or, likely, just incompetent because they were never good with their previous jobs either. Ultimately, the buck stops with Gun, but we did note that at one point we didn't know how big VShojo Inc was and then all of a sudden we started noticing execs all over the place. All speculation, but yeah. The new people were finks or frauds. Until I know more, this is all I can do.

Since Mouse wasnt awfully close to most other Vshojos, and Zen seems to be keeping her distance from a fair amount of them, I think its fair to say there is no leader figure at the moment. What happens next? Will everyone just go their own seperate ways? Mouse with Connor, Zen with her friends, Michi and Kuro, and I guess everyone else just to whatever. I dont see much collabs in the future.

Real talks right there. Vshojo was built at the top of the covid wave, where Mel alone was making 7 figures a year, and each initial talent was most likely in the high 6 figures each. At the time, being a company running only off merch sales worked because those were also through the roof.

Come 2024 and a lot of the talents shrinked to their core audience, who sparsely buy merch because they already have a lot of it, and would rather dono sub or commission art etc. Vshojo saw the wind blowing and tried to switch to getting all earnings from talents, which led to many of the big ones leaving, and many of the other ones being demotivated and shrinking even more. After that, they pretty much only had Mouse as an actual big earner for the company, and probably bled money every month, eventually having to use the money they owned to Mouse to try to keep afloat, hoping for a rebound that never came.
