I wonder how long-term how things will shake down in Hololive. Mori is pretty much tethered to them because it's through them she became so successful. That's not knocking her talent it's just that she got connected to producers and writers and big artist features, etc. etc. And they own the character. So she's got more to lose than anyone abandoning ship as going indie becomes more and more the right move for so many.

If I had to guess she's probably realized it's best to just ride the dragon wherever it takes her, if they crumble at some point, or she can't deal with corpo bullshit anymore, she's still gonna be a big name and have a huge audience. I don't know how much of a fame-seeker she is, or how much of her identity is now invested in this, but by any metric she would not be a failure for putting Mori Calliope away. As sad as that may be, I'll always ultimately wish she goes indie for all the boons but I enjoy her content regardless.
