the core issue is that many fans of western vtubing dont understand or care about idol culture yet want their cake, Hololive is big and they just want Hololive to be a twitch livestream company rather than remaining in its idol culture roots.

What nimi did is actually the correct move aka graduate first and then announce your marriage, but what rubs any Hololive fan who respects Idol culture wrong is the speed at which shes announcing her marriage.
