>>102590452 (OP)I think Nyan and Vei's account of the situation is the most fucked up because they decided the NDA can't be enforced anymore and spilled everything:
1. VShojo put language into Vei's contract and NDA that basically didn't allow her to talk about anything business related with anyone, not even the other talents after she left. Nyanners had the same experience. Vei was the one who pulled Nyanners aside during contract renewal time and said "this is sketchy as fuck."
2. VShojo staff also had a bad habit of talking shit about the talents. Vei noted that multiple people (including con attendees) told her about overhearing VShojo staff talking behind her back at meet and greet events. Combined with the NDA, this also meant that Vei, Nyanners, and Silvervale were basically unable to defend themselves when VShojo staff portrayed them as being selfish to the remaining talents.
3. VShojo pulled a Nijisanji and tried to both space out and group up talent exits to shape the narrative. They asked Vei and Silvervale to exit together to make it not seem like a continuous exit, but then delayed Nyan's exit by months to make it seem like just a contract thing. At some point there definitely were rumors floating amongst the unicorns that Vei and Nyanners had left VShojo because of their significant others, rumors that couldn't be dispelled because of the giant NDAs they had to sign.
4. Vei got a lawyer to look over her contract, and VShojo basically tried to demonize her and make her look self-centered for doing so. When Nyanners got a lawyer to check her contract when renewal time came up, her lawyer basically took one look at it and said "WTF is this shit?!"
5. Speaking of lawyers - the legal help that VShojo had on-staff? Not legally able to practice law, because their bar license had expired.
6. Nyanners confirmed that she still hasn't been paid for sponsorships she did in 2021, corroborating what Vei and others have said. In fact, VShojo staff had told her that one missing payment was because "she hadn't entered her payment information," when another payment had literally just cleared days earlier. This is the corporate equivalent of a "dog ate my homework" excuse.
7. VShojo purposely timed their (expensive) ads in Japan to appear whenever Hololive was experiencing drama, including a $500k Shibuya ad. This isn't really a personal thing (it's just marketing tactics) but it definitely shows that there was a cold edge to the veneer of "you can collab with anyone."
8. VShojo portrayed themselves as being like a family to their talents, but tried to use legal pressure to prevent discussion of contracts, payments, etc. amongst themselves. It was basically a purposeful information silo strategy.
