Phase connect are basically just a grifter right wing version of vshojo with none of the originality and wit that made vshojo popular. I think people who does not watch Phase misunderstood something fundamental about the company. The majority of them are old internet forum girls (not just 4chan, but also tumblr and the likes). At least for me, it's a reprieve from the current industry landscape where most of the talent pool were only exposed to the internet circa 2011+. The sense of familiarity does help me like the girls more. For the people not exposed to the culture back then, it is also something new and unique to them.
Not to say that other places do not have this mind you (case and point HoloEN's entire Myth lineup and Pomu/Mint), but just there is a higher concentration in Phase.
