funny thing is I remember the last few years people kept pretending vshojo was just naturally organically pulling in big names because "of course they like it, it's le talent freedumb unlike your eeevil corpos" when no, we now know actually they probably did almost as much direct damage to nijiEN as nijiEN did to itself.
hell if mint left knowing she would get into vshojo eventually, it was really the double loss of her+selen that really cooked the branch because there was nobody fucking nearly as famous/well liked as those two among actual, organic legitimate EN fans (as opposed to the chinese fujo audience luxiem had which never went anywhere outside that range). if pomu had lived on in addition to what, nina, mysta etc? nijiEN would probably still not be in great shape, but at least better shape than they went through.
