It seems to me that Vshojo wasn't that bad in early 2023 when Henya joined, and the three girls quit, Vei, Nyanners, and Silvervale. Maybe they weren't paid on time but maybe Kson was and Henya relied on her opinion the most.
As it happens with many companies, they just wasted too much money so even if 2023 was okay, by mid 2024 they were struggling financially, and by then it was too late.
It's a similar case to Idol's. They had a good early 2023 but by early 2024 it was clear they were struggling financially which resulted in many graduations.

The only ones who were really part of the scam were the ones who participated in the poaching and recruiting. So like Michi obviously isn't connected to anything but Kson and Mint were involved even if you want to defend them by saying they were ignorant or had too much trust.

Given mid-late 2024 seems to be the common point where talents stopped getting paid it seems like the books were still relatively in the black until then (or at least they weren't so bad that Gunrun didn't feel the need to stiff them)
