For 2 IIRC Metal Man's weapon is the weakness for half of the bosses or more? In addition to being so useful it's easy to use. Just a straight shot, no spread, no gimmick shot path.
My favorite game from the NES days was 3, because I like the main levels and bosses the most. Also some nostalgia, because as a kid I was really hyped about Rush, but I admit the Wily's Castle levels in 3 are just mid.

Is it a smarter game or a lack of plans? Gyari just runs a hobby club and draws the models himself. He puts in very little and takes very little and it's obvious that anyone who actually gets big will try to leave for greener pastures because he has no plans to expand which is what vsj has been struggling with.
In the end if you don't monetize the vtubers aggressively with contracts like holo does you just don't make enough to invest in stuff that can get your vtubers to stay, it runs into the same problem. But if you do you get western drama fucks like tectone, veibae and assbald calling your contracts bad.
Maybe en vtubing was a mistake because most of them feel like flesh streamers with a model thrown on the screen.
